Procurement Communications Lead at Global Biotech/Pharma Cambridge, MA
Contract:6 months with possible extension

Description:

OBJECTIVE:


The Communications Lead is responsible for developing and implementing a communications strategy and short - long term plan for Global Real Estate, Facilities and Procurement and its stakeholders.
They will be responsible for determining the key communications events, identifying the appropriate audience, channel and messages, developing or coordinating content, and delivering the communication within the required timescales.

They will be responsible for relationships with third parties to support content development or Japanese translation services.

They will also interface with Corporate Communications to align on other communications activities across the organization and to ensure adherence to brand guidelines.

Responsibilities:
ACCOUNTABILITIES:

??? Develop and deliver a short and longer internal communications strategy and plan aligned to and consistent with the Global Procurement priorities and objectives
??? Liaise regularly with Corporate Communications to ensure alignment in messaging and timing with wider communications initiatives
??? Manage third party providers to deliver the communications plan as appropriate, monitoring quality and providing feedback
??? Ensure all internal communications are consistent in terms of culture, values, branding, timing and message
??? To lead cross organisational initiatives to drive progress to implement Global Real Estate, Facilities and Procurement strategic direction.
??? Measure progress against, and monitor feedback on, the communications plan, suggesting and implementing improvements and revising the plan where required
??? Promote effective communications and incorporate relevant best practice from other industries and organizations into the communications plan
??? Regularly keep up to date with current thinking in the area and benchmark communications activities
??? Work with LT members to identify and develop communications content for regular channels, such as FAQs and leadership announcements
??? Coordinate regular townhall meetings, including scheduling, technology requirements and script writing
??? Provide LT members with relevant messaging e.g. FAQs, both before and after key communications milestones, to be able to answer questions from their teams
??? Develop timely content for Procurement updates in leadership meetings

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
Role is individual contributor / technical subject matter expert and carries significant matrix management responsibility: Diverse global project teams, expectation is to be a credible leader with senior stakeholders (VP, SVP levels).

Qualifications:
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Required:
??? Degree educated, preferably in a communications or business related subject
??? Extensive experience of developing and delivering communications for an integration change management initiative on a global
??? Strong verbal and written communication skills, with focus on high quality output
??? Able to quickly build relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
??? Strong business acumen with sound understanding of the environment and market drivers which impact the company???s business
??? Self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision
??? Strong project management capability and organizational skills
??? Demonstrated experience in leading and / or managing a number of priorities and projects in parallel
??? Able to succeed despite ambiguity and complexity
??? Strategic thinker with solid facilitation supported by excellent interpersonal competencies (communication, leadership, influencing)
??? Able to manage effectively in a global, fluid, interactive, matrix environment
??? Possess the skills necessary to effectively communicate and manage in a diverse cultural environment
??? Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook


Desired:
??? Experience of working with Procurement or similar G&A / corporate functions
??? Pharmaceutical Industry or Management Consulting experience
