Medical Billing Clerk

Are you looking to get your foot in the door with a reputable company? A large healthcare practice is looking to add a temporary-to-hire, full-time, medical billing clerk to their team. The schedule for this opportunity will be full-time Monday - Friday. The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

Responsibilities:
- Posting payments of insurance and patient
- Complete general data entry tasks
- Submit billing data to insurance providers
- Handle claims and claim denials
- Front desk duties include check in and check out, scheduling appointments, handling co-pays, and answering billing questions
- Assist the team with other duties as needed

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Skills:
- 2+ years of medical billing experience
- Basic knowledge of medical billing and terminology
- Experience using EMR systems a plus (Athena)
- Able to work in a fast paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Serve as an effective team member
- Strong customer service and results orientation
- Computer skills; Microsoft Office
- Attention to detail
- Data entry

Education:
High School

Experience:
Experienced

Qualifications:
- 2+ years of medical billing experience
- Exposure to sensitive and confidential information
- Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently
- Regular computer use
