Business Development Associate

A client in Baltimore County who supports global defense and intelligence missions is looking to bring on-board a Business Development Associate reporting the VP of Business Development. This role will be an integral part of the Business Development team and is direct hire and full time. The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the direction, creation and implementation of effective and innovative marketing and advertising plans
- Actively execute tasks supporting the entire customer sales and support cycle across products and capabilities
- Participate in customer engagement activities, product strategic planning and developing marketing and promotional sales collateral and campaigns
- Provide direct support to the BD and Management teams to ensure that all sales support, marketing and promotional campaigns are aligned with achieving corporate goals and performance objectives
- Assist in the product sales and service processes to ensure timely and accurate responses to customer requests and requirements, to include standard product information (data sheets, price quotations and sales orders), development of proposal documentation, corporate presentations and promotional and sales materials and customer product support coordination
- Participate in the analysis of sales performance and generation of reports that focus BD plans and efforts on how to increase market share and develop strategies that will lead to greater conversion of sales opportunities to revenue
- Coordinate marketing and sales events, customer meetings, and product demonstrations
- Generation of sales collateral and sales materials
- Product demonstration support
- Potential attendance at shows and meetings to support BD and sales activities
- Collaborate and coordinate with cross-functional work teams (contracts, engineering, finance and BD) to ensure that all BD and sales documentation is accurately generated and maintained consistent with processes and SharePoint repositories
- Participate in various BD and management meetings to ensure alignment and active participation in the successful execution of corporate and individual objectives

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Skills:
- Experience with DoD/Prime customers is a plus
- Intermediate/Advance proficiency w/ Microsoft Office tools (WORD, PPT, EXCEL & Microsoft Schedule)
- Familiarity with SharePoint (knowledge of lists, tasks, etc.) Extract data to provide reports for orders forecast, customer follow ups, on time quote performance, etc.
- Experience with desktop publishing, knowledge of internet technology and website development (preferred)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Advertising, Marketing, Communications and/or comparable work experience in product promotion or publishing
- Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills
- Excellent Verbal & Written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities
- Strong ability to analyze a problem and recommend solutions
- Must be able to take high-level instruction on assignments and complete tasks on time and accurately
- Experience in organizing budget and planning activities (e.g.. trade shows and strategic planning), and leading/supporting multiple ongoing projects (e.g. proposal efforts) is required
- Maintains calendars, arranges meetings, makes travel arrangements and interfaces with management and high level customers

Bachelors

Qualifications:
- 2-4 years' experience in the field
- Must be able to pass a drug test
- Self-motivated, takes initiative
