Southwest Location Patient Access Representative
Largest Not-For-Profit Healthcare system in Houston looking for a new team member to help in the Patient Access Department. We are looking for a candidate familiar with a fast paced environment, hospital experience, and an optimistic outlook!
Position is responsible for patient registration, scheduling, collecting payments, obtaining and verifying complete insurance information. In some cases obtaining prior authorization process, copay assistance and coordination of benefits. Handling inbound calls from patients, doctors, and insurance companies.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Determine patient's financial responsibilities based off of insurance
Register Patients and Schedule appointments
Bill insurance companies
Documenting all communication with patients, physicians, insurance companies as it relates to the collection process.
Must have at least 2 years of RECENT Hospital Patient Access experience
