Service Administrator

A manufacturing company in Farmington, CT is seeking a Service Administrator to join their team for a one year contract. This company does try to hire people permanently if possible, but it is not guaranteed.

This position is responsible for providing support to the field service engineers and Regional Service Managers, relaying information to the technicians, obtaining and processing service engineers expense and service reports as well as customer billing.

Working hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Principle Duties & Responsibilities

The statements below are intended to describe the general nature and level of work in this position. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities. The position may require that employees perform other duties as assigned.

1.-Enter data into Service Information System (SIS3) from Service Inbox
2.-Assist Service managers in daily service functions and special projects
3.-Provide support to in-house/remote and field technical support service engineers
4.-Answer service engineer-s calls, respond to request as needed
5.-Process customer billing through the SAP system
6.-Process & archive service engineer-s service reports
7.-Answer customer calls and respond to customer inquiries and billing questions
8.-Review, confirm and process service engineer-s service reports through Certify
9.-Research and update machine data through the SAP system
10.-Draft various letters, memos and correspondence and related departmental needs
11.-Update department PowerPoint presentations occasionally
12.-Accurate data entry skills
13.-Enter Service Agreements through the SAP system
14.-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
15.-Monitor Service Inbox and respond to customer requests as needed
16.-Monitor FSE tool purchases through E-Shop
17.-Set up International Travel for FSEs
18.-Order leased vehicles for FSEs as needed


Entry Level

Excellent interpersonal communications, clerical problem solving and conflict resolution skills. Computer skills including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, and SIS. Customer service experience required.

Associates degree in Business Management preferred; one to two years experience in an administrative environment acceptable.
