We are currently seeking an Order Entry Clerk for a manufacturing company located in Farmington, CT. This is a temporary position (up to one year) paying $15-$16 per hour. Responsibilities:
The Order Confirmation Clerk is responsible for reviewing all incoming order confirmations for purchase orders placed by Spare Parts Buyers and Expediters. The Order Confirmation Clerk should make corrections to part numbers, delivery dates, etc. and communicate changes in the delivery time to the appropriate team. The Order Confirmation Clerk is also responsible for communicating and correcting price changes and lead time as confirmed by the Supplier and approved by us

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

1)-Monitor the Order Confirmation Inbox
2)-Review the Order Confirmation and compare ti to the Purchase Order in SAP
3)-Update delivery dates in SAP Purchase Order
4)-Inform Expediting Team of updated delivery dates
5)-Inform Central Purchasing of price variances on Spare Parts from External Suppliers
6)-Update lead time and pricing in SAP Information Record when applicable and appropriate
7)-Monitor the unconfirmed purchase orders and follow up with Suppliers as needed
8)-Review the past due Purchase Order report and follow up with suppliers to expedite delivery

Experience

The candidate must have good communication skills (verbal and written) be well organized and have a strong attention to detail. Experience with SAP or another ERP system is a plus. Previous experience working in a purchasing environment is also a plus.
