Human Resource Manager
We are staffing for a Human Resources Manager for a very successful packaging company.
Global manufacturing company seeks a HRCI/SHRM certified Human Resources Generalist who will be the primary HR representative and employee relations contact for our Sacramento, CA manufacturing plant. This position will be partnering with plant managers and Human Resources leadership to provide consultation and support on HR initiatives in the areas of employee relations, administration, performance management, and legal compliance.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
--Partner with HR team to assist with identifying opportunities for the implementation of programs, policies and procedures to improve performance and productivity of plant employees as well as company-wide HR initiatives
--Identify and evaluate opportunities to enhance employee development and retention at the plant
--Coach plant managers on performance management issues, document performance actions and improvement plans
--Ensure plant manager and employee compliance with company policies and procedures and act as the subject matter expert on compliance with regards to California-specific employment laws and regulations
--Respond to employee questions related to benefits, employee relations, company policies and other issues
--Manage onboarding process and weekly payroll for CA employees
-Must have a high degree of integrity and sensitivity to confidential employee matters.
-5-7 years of Human Resources Generalist experience with a focus on employee relations. Experience as an HR business partner in a manufacturing environment is required
-Superior persuasive presentation and change management skills
-Strong analytical skills, including reporting, synthesizing data to identify themes and creating solutions to address identified issues
-Demonstrated knowledge and in-depth understanding of California state wage & hour requirements, compensation practices and employment law, PHR-CA certification is required.
-Proven ability to work independently and to manage competing priorities
-Proven coaching and conflict resolution skills
-Successful track record of delivering superior client service
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Must be competent with Microsoft Office software suite
-Bachelor's degree required
