Human Resources Specialist
Randstad is currently supporting a non-profit organization in the Downtown San Diego area in searching for a temporary HR Administrator to join their team of HR Professionals who work hard everyday to make sure they positively impact the lives of Adults and Children around San Diego County. This company currently holds 1,200 employees but will still consider candidates with less volume of experience.
Provides general guidance to employees and managers on Company policies and HR topics like Benefits, Training, Time & Attendance, Workers Compensation and Leaves of Absence.
Monitors completion and reviews of results of all pre-employment screenings, escalating any issues to the Vice President of Human Resources for resolution.
Keys new employees into UltiPro and ensures completeness of all personnel files.
Enters data for status changes, training and certifications, proactively running and reviewing reports to ensure accuracy on a regular basis.
Manages and co-hosts the monthly New Hire Orientation.
Assists managers and other stakeholders with requests for information.
Processes terminations and conducts exit interviews, escalating any issues to the Vice President of Human Resources for resolution.
Manages employee personnel files.
Orders, audits, and coordinates updates to Federal/State Labor Law Posters.
Signs up current employees for recurring occupational health exams as required.
Prepares personnel files and meets with licensing representatives for all agency surveys.
Audits invoices and preparing check requests for all pre-employment screenings.
Ensures all Company drivers are added and removed from the DMV pull program as hires and terminations occur.
Assists with managing and processing unemployment claims.
Partners with the Vice President of HR, Director of Employee Experience, HR Generalists, and Talent Acquisition team on projects.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Attention to detail
Associates??? Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required. SHRM-CP/HRCI-PHR or HR Certificate preferred.
At least one (1) year of experience touching various human resources disciplines, such as Recruiting, Onboarding, Compliance, Benefits, Time & Attendance, Leaves of Absence, etc., required.
Solid knowledge and understanding of employment law.
Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint. Applied experience entering data and running reports out of HRIS systems required. Experience with Ultipro preferred. Fluency in Spanish is highly desired.
Must possess a current CPR/First Aid throughout the duration of employment. Training provided upon hire.
