Accounting Manager

Our client is looking for someone with a strong Accounting background to join their team. The ideal individual for this position will have basic financial accounting knowledge, knowledge on accrual & cost accounting, critical thinker & problem solver, someone who isn't afraid to dig in and find a solution, can work independently, someone who asks questions but retains the answers, strong note taker, knowledge of general ledger and Excel and have strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
-Process and report monthly financial reporting and analysis
-Manage monthly accounting close cycle
-Prepare monthly bank reconciliation
-Prepare and review journal entries and account analysis
-Report and analyze sales, gross margin, and operating expenses
-Analyze, review, and audit overall general ledger and expense payable systems
-Analyze trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments and obligations incurred to forecast future revenues and expenses
-Processes checks weekly for accounts payable: wires as needed
-Understands current and proposed legislation; enforces accounting regulations; recommend new procedures
-Process daily export of Ecommerce sales to SAGE
-Reconciles daily ecommerce sales with Avatax & Sage prior to sales order entry
-Monthly sales tax reconciliation & approval for Avalara tax filing
-Enter and post finalized cash receipts and updates accounts receivable ledger by customer
-Prepares funding requests for Office Manager as needed

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and multitask
-Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
-Versatility, flexibility and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm

Education:
Associate

Experience:
Experienced

Qualifications:
-B.S degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or Information Systems
-Excellent technical and interpersonal skills
-Minimum of 2 years financial analyst including cost accounting
-Thorough understanding of accounting and financial management principles
-Proficient in Excel, Microsoft small business software
