Administrative Assistant

Randstad has partnered with a local company to help assist in their search for a great candidate. This candidate will be supporting an Operation Manager in a variety of administrative, clerical and secretarial functions within the office.

Responsibilities:
-Provides administrative and secretarial support to company Operations Manager; keeps track of calendar events and performs other designated tasks
-Regularly meets with Operations Manager to review activities that need to be performed
-Assists Executive Management Team members along with other office staff when assigned to by the Operations Manager
-Conducts research using the Internet for assigned projects and compiles the resulting data
-Types memos, letters, reports, and general correspondence from rough draft or dictation
-Creates and files purchase orders for supplies ordered
-Operates personal computer to access e-mail, electronic calendars, and other basic office support software
-Operates office equipment such as photocopier, printer, or fax machine; coordinates the servicing and repair of equipment
-Assures commitment to ISO and Six Sigma quality policies, procedures, and standards
-Other duties as assigned

Working hours: 8:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
-Knowledge of office administrative and secretarial practices and procedures, such as business letter writing and the operation of standard office equipment, including printer, fax machine, and copy machine.
-Knowledge of modern office procedures and methods including telephone communications, office systems, and record keeping
-Skill to research and compile data found on the Internet
-Experience in software packages including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and MAS
-Must have strong Excel skills
-Skill to type 40 words per minute and 10,000 alpha numeric keystrokes. Skill to communicate clearly and effectively, orally and in writing
-Ability to maintain a professional, courteous and helpful manner in dealing with others
-Ability to work in a team oriented environment
-Ability to follow oral and written instructions
-Ability to establish priorities, work independently, organize and proceed with objectives with minimal supervision
-Ability to pay attention to detail
-Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with other employees

High School

Experienced

Qualifications:
2 years administrative/office experience
High school diploma or equivalent
