Human Resources Assistant
Our client, a non-profit in Boston, is looking to hire a permanent HR administrative assistant. This position is responsible for providing administrative support to the human resource department. Duties involve processing payroll and benefit enrollment which requires confidentiality and security of all data. This permanent role offers a salary range of $40,000 - $45,000 annually based on experience. The company offers a competitive benefits package which includes health insurance, 401K, and education reimbursement.
-Process payroll by interfacing time and attendance data and other external benefit change notifications into the payroll system
-File all personnel-related documents to appropriate files
-Maintain payroll and benefits systems by updating and entering data into the systems
-Assist in answering employee questions
-Participate in the reconciliation of monthly billing statements and preparing invoices for payment
-Serve as a point of contact with benefit vendors/administrators.
-Provide administrative support by entering, formatting, printing and scanning information; organizing work; answering the telephone; relaying messages; maintaining equipment and supplies
-Submit employee data reports by assembling, preparing, and analyzing data
-Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications
-Monitor main telephone line as assigned. Direct calls accordingly in a professional and courteous manner.
Working hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
-Knowledge of Microsoft Office and a basic understanding of human resource terminology
-Professional verbal and written communication skills
-Bachelors degree preferred
-1-3 years of experience
