Must possess strong organizational, written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills. Requires investigatory and analytical skills with proven ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Develops and maintains positive relationships with both internal and external customers
Promptly and efficiently collects on Medicare accounts
Analyzes work lists and/or reports daily (denials, rejections, underpayments)
Responds to written correspondence, including payer requests for supporting documentation.
Is responsible to stay current on all active, assigned accounts to prevent abandonment of uncollected A/R.
Documents the billing, follow-up and/or collection efforts.
Follows up electronically and/or telephonically with payers for claim and appeal status
Assists the Billing & Collections Manager in other related duties as assigned.
CPT-4, ICD-10 and HCPCS coding competency. HIPAA regulations knowledge.
Minimum of two years experience in medical claims billing and collections.
Knowledge of Medicare and/or Government payers
