Senior Compensation Analyst
The Compensation Analyst is responsible for the research, analysis and preparation of compensation related data in support of compensation programs that achieve internal equity, external competitiveness, and legal compliance. Acts as a business partner and consultant for the Head of HR, HR Business Partner and Senior Management Team members. Administers compensation plans and programs, including base and variable pay and employee recognition. Responsible for compensation-related data maintenance in HRIS and reporting. Working with the Head of HR and the Senior Manager of Compensation & Benefits, implements and communicates compensation policies and practices and makes recommendations. The position in integrated in the Global Functional Team (GFT) Compensation, Benefits & Labor Relations.
Audits jobs for content and prepares job descriptions reflecting job responsibilities, activities, duties and requirements by the Hay method. Evaluates data in order to determine compensation rates, determine FLSA exemptions, and level positions to established pay grades. Participates in compensation surveys to collect and analyze competitive salary information to determine company's competitive position. Analyzes and reports results that support compensation planning and program development to ensure base pay structures and programs are externally competitive.
Assists with preparation and management of the annual FOCAL review salary increase process. Gathers current market pay data, determines compa-ratios, updates merit matrix, and prepares salary planning information for management using the HRIS tool. Evaluates promotion requests and makes compensation recommendations. Assists Head of HR with analysis of salary increase recommendations and preparation of reporting against budget for presentation to the Comp Committee. Responsible for salary survey participation and maintenance of survey data. Analyzes and reports market salary survey results that support compensation planning and program development to ensure base pay structures and programs are externally competitive.
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Comprehensive knowledge of wage and hour and compensation-related federal and state, specific emphasis on California labor law and HR best practices.
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, particularly Excel. Experience using an HRIS, preferably Workday.
- Strong data analysis, interpretation and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to work with highly confidential material.
- Excellent business writing skills, strong verbal communication / presentation skills. Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills, solid analytical/problem solving skills, and strong follow-through
Bachelor???s degree in business administration or similar with a focus on human resources management.
Minimum of five (5) years??? experience in the analysis, design and/or administration of compensation programs including: job documentation and job analysis, salary survey participation and use, analysis of pay components and calculations, and sales/incentive compensation is required. CCP preferred.
