Help Desk Representative
We are currently hiring for several customer service openings for a large company in Holstville, NY! These are temporary positions during the company's ramp up season for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift Monday - Sunday. In this position, you will be providing assistance to customers during all phases of the company's inventory process. You will be assisting customers with their questions about how to set-up and operate the company's equipment and preparing and entering required client information & requests into the company's database to document customer interaction and resolution.
Training classes will begin November 11th. Training will be Monday - Friday for four hours per day, and training will be offered in both day time and evening shifts. Once training is completed, customer service reps will work part time (16 hours per week) until New Year's Eve. Working on New Year's Day is mandatory! After New Year's, the assignment will last through January 22nd and could extend into the first 2 weeks of February. Customer Service Reps will be able to take on full time hours after New Year's Eve but can continue to work Part Time if that is preferred.
1st Shift - 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
2nd Shift - 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
3rd Shift - 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Willing to work with candidates who have availability split between shifts - but MUST be available to work weekends!
-Provides assistance to customers during all phases of the inventory process.
-Assists customers with their questions about how to set-up and operate our equipment to successfully conduct their inventories.
-Maintains appropriate response times and abandon rates as defined in the department???s goals.
-Coordinates internal operational activities to ensure each order/request is processed in a timely manner as agreed to with customer.
-Serves as a liaison to assist client care teammates, account managers, IT and operations staff at all levels to support the needs of the customers.
-Prepares and enters required client information/requests into department???s database to document customer interaction and resolution.
-Obtains a working knowledge of product functionality/ performance and troubleshooting methodologies to assist clients when they call in for assistance.
-Maintains a working knowledge of the computer programs currently in use in the department.
-Performs other duties as assigned.
Working hours: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
-Light IT background preferred.
-Some prior customer service experiences a must.
-Excellent communications skills.
-Computer literate; exposure to Windows environment.
-Willing to consent to drug and background screening
-Must be available to work on weekends and on New Year???s Day
-1st two weeks of January are required
