Training Specialist

Currently seeking a seasoned Training Specialist for a large utilities company. This position will last until January 31, 2020

This contract role is responsible for developing blended system training, using multiple delivery modalities, for various LMS administrator roles as well as managers and learners as needed. This includes creating new content as well as redesigning and enhancing existing materials that support instructor led, self-paced, virtual, or a blend of all three in nature. The ideal candidate will be technically savvy, curious, and collaborative in nature.

-Support the design, development and deployment of training for Cornerstone LMS
-Develop blended training that leverages vendor provided content as well as new and existing training content as appropriate
-Independently partner with subject matter experts and other key stakeholders to create, review and test training content for accuracy
-Work collaboratively with other learning producers on the team and ensure consistency between training content, no matter who on the team designs it
-Rapidly develop various content and blended learning solutions which may include: social learning via communities, elearnings, videos, scenarios, simulations, knowledge checks, evaluations, facilitator/participant guides, presentation decks, job aids, micro learnings, etc.
-Create training material content that is clear, accurate, consistent, of high quality, and follows brand guidelines
Perform detailed testing for all learning solutions to ensure accuracy and relevancy
-Ensure successful hand-off of completed training programs to the facilitation team for delivery, including a content walkthrough session
-Work with metrics team to measure the effectiveness of learning programs is measured
-Leverage an agile approach in designing and developing content

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

-Familiarity with Cornerstone and previous experience developing training for Cornerstone LMS
-Must be results/detail oriented and collaborative
-Solid grasp and demonstrated ability to develop systems training, taking the needs assessment provided and through to implementation and evaluation
-Expert knowledge in demonstrated capabilities in instructional design and methodologies including, but not limited to, ADDIE, SAM, and Agile development
-Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze concerns/issues, develop logical conclusions and make appropriate recommendations
-Demonstrated project management skills to deliver assets on time and meet expectations

Basic/Required Qualifications
5+ years experience in the development and delivery of training products and services
Advanced knowledge and use of Articulate Storyline 360
Video creation/production capabilities using Camtasia and/or related video creation software
