Associate Accountant I
Performs a variety of accounts payable, inventory and accounting support activities for client; monitors the accurate and timely invoice processingl and other associated employment taxes; assists in the direction of client's employees assigned to process payroll input and employment tax payments; analyzes and prepares journal entries related to payroll; performs balance sheet reconciliation activities; prepares annual reports for FERC Form 1 and payroll tax budgeting; and, provides customer support to both internal and external customers. Finally, this position provides process optimization and design to improve the payroll processing process on an ongoing basis.
Strong knowledge of basic accounting theory
Strong knowledge of functional accounting practices and procedures
Other Preferred Knowledge:
Accounting research techniques
Working hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Quantitative and qualitative analyses
Strong functional understanding of computerized accounting programs
Demonstrated skill with MS Office applications (specifically Word and Excel)
Ability to multi-task and shift among multiple priorities simultaneously
Spoken and written communications
1. Associates Degree in Business or the equivalent.
2. Over two years of experience required
