Legal Assistant

Randstad is working with a client in Odessa seeking an experienced Bilingual (Spanish and English speaking) Legal Assistant who will support the Corporate counsel with every day deadlines, file and draft legal documents and various emails, assist clients, attorneys and court personnel via phone or email as directed, negotiate and discuss customer payment options when utilizing our services as well as, translate for customers who may need translation services.

Responsibilities:
Review pending cases for follow up and drafting necessary pleadings and final judgments.
Negotiate payment plans, stipulations and payoffs with customers to recover unpaid accounts.
Support optimal functioning of the department by performing clerical duties including sorting the mail, copying, and document preparation.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Skills:
This position requires intermediate levels of math skills and high levels of language skills and familiarity with word processing, spreadsheets, accounting, database, and internet software.

Education:
High School

Experience:
Experienced

Qualifications:
At least 2 + years experience as a Legal Admin or Assistant.
Bilingual -Spanish and English speaking*
Bachelors degree in relevant field or 2+ years experience as a legal admin required*
