A reputable electrical contractor in San Jose is looking for a Field Payroll Clerk to add to their growing team.This individual will be responsible for processing multiple weekly union/non-union payrolls with more than 200+ employees including multiple companies.
Maintain employee records.
Assist with New/Re Hire Organization Prior to input.
Verify accuracy of new/re hire paperwork.
E-Verify Re/New Hires and run and maintain E-Verify status report.
W2 reprint request.
Mail direct deposit advice for weekly payrolls.
Enter employee maintenance phone changes, address changes and W-4 changes.
Scan and index new/re hire and current employee files.
Scanning and indexing time cards for weekly error report. Correct weekly error report. Insure back fill is complete.
Prioritize and process all time cards from small field locations and process through full payroll cycle.
Assist with EDD processes and reports
Assist with VOE??s
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
10-key, light typing and computer skills are required.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Payroll experience is preferred
Experience in a union payroll preferred
Can be a combination of education, training and relevant experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be eligible to work in the United States
Must be 18 years or older
