Are you analytical? Are you software savvy? Randstad is currently hiring for an accounting specialist to assist a company in the Birmingham metro area with invoicing, accounts payable and receivable. In addition to this, you might also be assisting the controller with financial reports.
[ ] Enter and balance A/R and A/P on a daily basis
[ ] Help to prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
[ ] Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
[ ] Assist with assembling financial data for audits
[ ] Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department as needed
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
[ ] Excellent communication and administrative skills
[ ] Data entry and word processing skills
[ ] Ability to meet all assignment deadlines
[ ] Experience with bank reconciliation and tracking credit card transactions are preferred
[ ] 2+ years of accounting experience is required
[ ] Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts Receivable clerk or Accounts Payable clerk
[ ] Validated Excel proficiency
[ ] Ability to catch on to software quickly
