Office Solutions Specialist

Randstad Professionals is currently seeking an Office Solutions Specialist for a client in Oakton, VA. This temp-to-hire opportunity pays at $15.00/hr. Review below for additional information regarding this opportunity.

This position is responsible for coordinating and ensuring the completion of all work activities for the Office Solutions Specialists and providing day-to-day support for copier, printer, and fax equipment. This is a service quality and customer satisfaction oriented position with quality performance measurements. The technical aspect of this position requires following pre-established guidelines, and using sound judgment.

-Answer incoming calls and transfer calls as necessary
-Take messages from callers, check voice mails and emails
-Greet guest/visitors coming to the office
-Manage & Troubleshoot office equipment (fax, scanner, copier)
-Monitor internal control system and track activity metrics data for service level agreement
-Responsible for the overall monitoring, ordering and distributing of supplies to floor for
equipment (e.g. paper, toner, staples, etc.)
-Assess and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through written and verbal communication and follow through.
-Assist team with equipment diagnosis and resolve maintenance/repair issues.
-Achieve expected productivity levels associated with assigned workload and level of experience.
-Perform troubleshooting and repairs or replace equipment components as necessary.
-Demonstrate required competencies associated with assigned equipment.
-Interacts with external customer for the purpose of determining service needs on equipment and
ensuring overall high level of customer satisfaction with the service performed.
-Maintain a productive and professional relationship with internal and external client(s).

Schedule and reschedule meetings and conference rooms; also coordinate catering services
-Coordinate visitor office spaces and setup
-Assist staff with travel, special arrangements, lodging, transportation, etc
-Respond to all requests in a timely manner
-Assist with mail deliveries
-Manage front desk equipment: printer, fax machine, copier, etc
-Manage office supplies

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

-A professional appearance and telephone manner is essential
-Ability to work with and direct others
-Ability to develop, lead and drive a team performance
-Effective time management skills
-Excellent customer service skills
-Excellent people skills and the ability to multitask in a changing environment
-Must have good command of the English language, oral and written
-Demonstrate competencies to read and comprehend technical information in the form of manuals and relevant publications.
-Possess the ability to understand departmental operations and procedures

High School


-Minimum of a HS Diploma; Associate's Degree preferred.
-Technology background and troubleshooting skills
-Thorough working knowledge of copiers, printers, and facsimiles, as well as basic computer skills is required.
-Proven track record and troubleshooting skills of digital copiers, printers, and facsimiles.
-Must have a methodical approach to resolving problems.
-Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive situations.
-Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
-Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software.
-Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy.
-Some analytical ability is required in order to prioritize work.
