Physician Contract Specialist
Randstad is hiring a PHYSICIAN CONTRACT SPECIALIST to work with our client, a leading network of Healthcare Providers and Facilities. This is a temp to perm role. Employee will start out working with a current employee who is retiring at the end of the year. Depending on performance the talent will then convert to perm. This position is part of the claims dept leadership team. Participation in negotiation of contracts with providers.Responsibilities:Develop and maintain standards for loading contracts and fee schedules through management and oversight of implementation of provider contactsPrimary internal team contact for interpretation of provider contractsMake any necessary changes to support claims processing and accurate costs per claimInvestigate and resolve any claims payment issues related to contractsWorking hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMSkills:5 years minimum claims processing experience with participation in provider contracting 3 years minimum managed care experienceFamiliarity with medical/hospital coding (RBRVS, CPT, ICD-9, HCPCS DRG, APC) and standard billing formats (HCFA 1500, UB-92)Microsoft Office Suite proficiencyEducation:AssociateExperience:ExperiencedQualifications:Minimum High school degree or equivalent plus 3 years of managed care experienceBachelor's degree not required but must have 3 years of managed care participating in physician contracting.
