Medical Billing Specialist

Calling all Medical Billers and Coders! We need you to help make sure that sick people's medical bills are paid by their health insurance. Bring your experience in medical billing and coding to take the next step in your career. Become an Associate Claims Examiner.
This is an entry level Claims examiner role, and we'll teach you everything you need to know.

DURATION: 3+ months
WORK SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday (8am - 5pm)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reviews and processes all contracted capitated claims and fee-for-service PCP administration fee for-service claims
  • Reviews and processes claims acknowledgment, payment and denial as set forth by CMS, Healthplans and departmental policy and procedures
  • Recognizes inappropriate CPT, ICD-9 and HCPCS codes and accurately research member eligibility and duplicate claims submissions and resolves errors
SKILLS:

  • Comfortable with a fast paced work environment

EDUCATION:
High School

EXPERIENCE:
Entry Level

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of experience in healthcare, processing referrals OR claims OR medical billing
