Do you do your best work when you are hands on? We are currently hiring Machine Operators in a local paper manufacturing company. Position will be 2nd shift, temp to hire and located in Visalia, CA.
The Lid Line Operator is responsible for maintaining the operation of the Lid Line Machines. This machines requires the operator to perform changeovers, setups, startup duties, preventive maintenance, oiling etc. Other responsiblities include thermoformers, the extruder area, the trim press, plastic grinders, quality control and will performing a variety of quality control checks every two hours beginning at the start of the shift and continuing throughout the work shift. Operators will need to communicate with Lid Line Operators of the prior shift and next shift regarding difficulties, delays in production, or quality issues and complete daily production logs. When the Lid Lines do not require immediate attention in the maintenance of the machine, the operator is required to assist the packers in the packing process to identify defects.
The essential functions of this role include:
- working in a smoke free environment
- wearing steel toe shoes
- working in a non-temperature controlled environment
- manual lifting up to 50lbs
- standing for 12 hours at one time
- working up to 8 hrs of overtime per week
- working weekends
