Service Center Manager

Service Manager with mechanical and electrical experience needed. This person will be responsible for the day to day activities of the service department and be responsible for the department’s growth as a leader, teacher, and trainer with a proven service growth track record. Pay is based on experience. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS – REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION
  • Five (5) years of work experience as a Service Manager
  • Exceptional mechanical and electrical aptitude able to teach and explain schematics and layouts
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Capability to work collaboratively with key personnel across multiple departments internally and externally with vendors
  • A good standard of numeracy to analyze facts and figures
  • Commercial awareness and interest in market dynamics
  • The ability to gather and analyze relevant service data swiftly and accurately
  • Experience working under pressure in a calm and collected manner
  • Advanced aptitude working with database management software and ERP systems
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean record
  • Must pass a drug test


  • Recruit, hire, and train new service technicians
  • Cross train and develop existing service personnel
  • Monitor and verify field technician's work
  • Provide knowledgeable back up for technicians
  • Develop and maintain a knowledge base of the evolving products and services
  • Maintain an organized service department
  • Schedule and understand logistics of scheduling technicians
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints
  • Document and update customer records based on interactions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve product issues and concerns
  • Provide technical information about the products and services that our company provides
  • Manage vendor relationships while resolving factory issues
  • Ensure vendors are aware of business objectives
  • Approve and issue purchase orders, negotiate pricing, terms of purchase, and on-time deliveries for service labor and parts
  • Process purchase orders, equipment receivables, and vendor invoices
Ability to work overtime as needed to support completion of jobs/projects
