Randstad is currently seeking multiple Level A and Level B machinist for a great job opportunity in Arcadia, CA. There are openings for both Mill and Lathe Machinist on first and swing shift. -- Perform Most CNC Mill and/or Lathe Set-Up???s and Operate CNC Mill and/or Lathe Machines According to Process Sheets Under General Supervision (Intermediate Level). Perform CNC Mill and/or Lathe Set-Up???s and Operate CNC Mill and/or Lathe Machines According to Process Sheets With No Supervision or Assistance (Advanced Level).
-- Create (Advanced Level), Edit, Send, or Retrieve CNC Programs From Systems Files as Required For Mill and/or Lathe Machine Set-up and Operation.
-- Read and Interpret Manufacturing Paperwork (Travelers, Blueprints, Sketches, Etc.) in Order to Produce Products as Required by Customer Specifications and Quality Standards.
-- Inspect and Verify Own Work Prior to Submitting to Quality Department For First Article Inspection.
-- Meet Needed Quote Times and Schedule for Assigned Work.
-- Correctly Process Required Work-Related Paperwork and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) Documents.
-- Communicate Regularly With Supervisors and Other Employees Regarding any Production Issues and Ways to Eliminate Possible Errors on Set-up and/or Programming.
-- Perform Non-CNC Tasks When Necessary, such as Hand-Work Operations.
-- Evaluate and Update ???Estimated to Actual??? Cycle Times.
-- Conduct All Shop Functions in a Safe Manner.
-- Perform Other Duties as Required.
Working hours: 5 AM - 2 PM
-- Minimum of 3-5 Years of Relevant CNC Mill and/or Lathe Machine Experience is Required (Intermediate Level). Minimum of 5 Years of Relevant CNC Mill and/or Lathe Machine Experience is Required (Advanced Level). Certificate from NTMA or Other Technical School is a Plus.
-- Firm Understanding of Mill and/or Lathe Programs Including Formatting and Editing Programs.
-- Ability to Read and Understand Blueprints and Technical Documents.
-- Ability to Use Various Inspection Tools Such as Micrometers, Calipers, Height Gages, and Comparators.
-- Familiarity with Coordinate Measurement Machines (CMM) is desired (Advanced Level).
-- Strong Shop Math Skills Including the Ability to Perform Measurement Conversion.
-- A Genuine Belief in Continuous Improvement and a Disciplined Process.
-- Organization and Time-Management Skills.
-- Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills.
-- Qualified candidates must have experience on 3,4, and 5 axis machinery.
-- Candidates should be familiar with Doosan and Okuma CNC machinery
-- Candidates with a background in plastics is a plus.
