The product applications engineer technician is responsible for product design and development, new product development, design review and working with customers on product applications.
Develop product specifications for defined programs and lead cross functional design reviews
Assist with Warranty reduction, Cost reduction, and Complexity reduction initiatives
Manufacturing plant and supplier support
Provide input to program reviews
Provide engineering support to customer.
Perform application analysis for customer.
Engineering liaison between customer and Schafer
Assist with product field issues/trials
Assist with new product implementation at customer.
Provide technical assistance to other Schafer departments as required
Control of drawings, specifications and other Engineering data
Assist with new product design and/or specifications
Working hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

- Bachelors degree, BSME or BSMET and ten years plus experience in engineering
This job operates in a combination of professional office and shop environments. Work is regularly performed in a combination of office and shop environments and is regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil,
fumes and noise. Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight may be expected.
