Randstad is looking for a night shift safety coach to support our employees in ensuring a safe workplace. This is a vital and critical role as part of the Randstad team. This is a night shift position with 12 hour rotating shifts. Week one will be working Wed/Thur/Fri from 6pm-6:30am. Week two will be working Mon/Tue/Sat/Sun from 6pm-6:30am. Rotations will continue every other week.
We're looking for someone comfortable working with all levels of employees, including giving advice to leadership to make sound business decisions.
You will coordinate and manage the safety program at Randstad's partnered distribution center. Your goals will include reducing the frequency and severity of worker's compensation losses, ensuring Randstad is compliant with OSHA standards and providing training to employees and management. You will be considered the safety subject matter expert. You will work hands-on with both employees managers, and report to the Operations Manager with a dotted line to the Regional Safety Manager.
Working hours: 6 PM - 6 AM
-Administers safety orientation to all new hire employees, and recursive training to active employees
-Conducts documented daily shift safety observations, inspections, and offers direct feedback to employees
-Serves as a first responder in the event of an injury, triage injuries and manages associated worker's compensation claims paperwork
-Performs accident investigations and provides advice to reduce re-occurrence and provides return to work opportunities, also provides potential corrective action to employee
-Conducts regular inspections of the facility, including fire extinguishers, eyewash stations, signage, emergency lighting, and other equipment needing inspection
-Assists with conducting Job Safety Analyses, Ergonomics/Repetitive Motion studies
-Manage record keeping requirements for OSHA, including 301 forms
-Trained in first aid
-Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
-Comfortable working in a warehouse environment
-Comfortable working consecutive days in a row during peak season
-Ability to work effectively in a multi-team environment and with people at all levels
-Comfortable working in an environment with ever changing priorities
