The Mechanical Engineering Assistant Project Leader works closely with manufacturing sites to execute equipment related technical projects aimed at addressing equipment problems and/or improving equipment performance in the form of increased throughput, reliability or process yield. Projects may be small, involving only individual effort, or larger, involving multi-person teams. This role also provides equipment related subject matter expertise to the plant sites in the applicant's specific area of expertise.

Responsibilities:
?? Coordinate all engineering project activities including mechanical, electrical, software, and testing.
?? Define and manage project scope and objectives, involving all stakeholders.
?? Coordinate and drive all cross-functional project activities including engineering, purchasing, production, sales, service, and quality.
?? Create and manage the project schedule and budget.
?? Identify project risks, define risk mitigation plans, and drive risk reduction.
?? Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
?? Understand and interpret engineering data and facilitate design decisions with the team.
?? Deliver the committed project content on schedule and within budget.
?? Work with the Engineering Manager to assign and prioritize project resources.
?? Work with the test engineers to define and execute the prototyping and test plan.
?? Collaborate with Sourcing and Quality to identify, select, and manage suppliers and their deliverable's.
?? Work with Production to incorporate the product into the production line.
?? Update Seakeeper Management on project status and risks.

Working hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

Skills:
--BA/BS degree (Mechanical Engineering Degree preferred).
- demonstrated experience managing and coordinating complex development projects in a fast-paced and innovative environment
- Ability to remove road-blocks, solve problems, and make decisions.
- Excellent time management, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision
- Must be professional, responsive, flexible, and organized with a positive attitude
- Strong written and verbal skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate professionally
- Ability to gather and analyze information and make sound judgement
