-Accepts all incoming materials and verifies quantity and conditions of materials received. Required to unload trucks, unpack crates and boxes. Also check packing slips and/or material against purchase order that is entered on CRT. Delivers and picks up various materials throughout the plant. Responsible for receiving all raw material and visually inspect for damage in shipment.
-Issues Receiving Reports to the proper office departments. Enters all production items to quantity and part number on CRT. Also required to receive returned materials. Required to load and unload Receiving Inspection area, assists in R.M.R. area, and moves all inspected material to the proper storeroom. Matches general orders and shipping memos with outgoing material, insuring correct piece number and quantities are shipped.
-Prepares freight bills and makes some selections of carriers. Does some routing of shipments and calculates charges for prepaid shipments of all types. Also notifies carriers of shipments to be picked up. Prepares necessary stencils, labels, and forms for all types of shipments.
-Schedules and requisitions all shipping supplies and maintains a perpetual inventory of these supplies. Responsible for all duties related to preparing material for shipment according to specifications set forth by the Federal Government and prepare necessary forms required. Also must understand and interpret government contracts.
-Must be able to operate all types of machines and equipment associated with shipping/receiving, and storeroom, including fork trucks. Use rate tariff and rate base schedules to rate all truck shipments to provide Accounting with freight charges. Also give shipping information to P&IC, Marketing, and Accounting personnel when necessary.
-Responsible for operating company vehicle as required. Operates Parcel Post and UPS meters. Maintains necessary files and records related to Shipping, Receiving, and Storeroom functions.
Performs all duties set forth in the Material 5 classification.
-Issues, upon requisition, materials, supplies and finished good components; receives and places in storage materials, supplies, and finished good components; and maintains the necessary records. Uses equipment such as scales, boxes, pans, step ladders, material handling equipment.
Working hours: 6 AM - 4 PM
-SAP Experience is REQUIRED
-HS Diploma or GED
