Produces machined parts by programming (not required), setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; maintaining equipment and supplies.
Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters;
Set up, adjust, and operate all of the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools to perform precision machining operations.
Programs (if capable) mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.
Sets-up mills and lathes by installing tooling and making adjustments.
Sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
Working hours: 5 AM - 12 AM
Must be able to read blueprints, technical drawings, procedure manuals, and work instructions.
Minimum of 2 years machining experience with advanced knowledge of machining operations and tolerances.
Knowledge of Hurco & Mazak software is preferred, but not required
High school diploma / GED.
Technical Degree preferred but not required
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
