Stand up Forklift Operator
The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating a stand up forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The Operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may also be required to perform Order Selector duties.
--Load, unload, move, stack, and stage product and materials using a forklift or other powered equipment.
--Use radio frequency equipment for picking, receiving, put-away, and load functions, as required.
--Maintain the facility's equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
--On a daily basis, inspect forklift or other equipment and inform supervisor of any issues.
--Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.
--Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee tight inventory control and security are maintained.
--Assist in physical inventories.
--Ensure proper stock rotation.
--Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
--Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.
--Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
--Comply with OSHA, SQF, and MSDS standards.
--Perform other duties as assigned.
Working hours: 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Basic math skills and legible handwriting
Required bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling and moving items with need to lift and move bulky and heavy items without assistance up to 55 pounds for 8 - 10 hours/duration of shift.
Ability to follow instructions and complete required training
Ability to work independently and/or as a team member
Bi-lingual a plus but not required
6 months-18 months minimum for forklift experience
Drug test and background check conducted
good written and oral communication skills.
