Position is located in Fort Worth near 820 and North Riverside Drive. This located only runs 1st shift, and the hours are as early as 6am to as late as 4pm, including some possible Saturdays. This means you will never be asked to work later than 4pm, Sundays, or earlier than 6am. This position is perfect for the working parent! No more working late on school nights!
The packing positions are temp to hire and consist of a 12 week training period, and then you will become permanent! Attendance, and production requirements must be met, but you will have a trainer who will help you every step of the way! If you want the position, it is obtainable! When taken permanent you will receive a pay increase, paid time off, holiday pay and health insurance offered through the company. Pay when permanent will be production based pay that goes up to $15 per hour!
Job Responsibilities will include special handling for packaging product, following specific package requests, and making sure packages are done quickly and correctly. Some packing requirements could be making sure each pair of pants has a hanger on before moving forward, or making sure to replace a price tag. You might just have to open the bag the pants are in, and replace it with another newer bag.
If the lines are slow, it is a possibility you will help other departments. You will also be expected to help clean up your department at the end of the day to prepare for the next morning. This is all expected in the job duties.
Working as a team of two, you and your partner will go through each tote on the packing line to match with the correct shipping label. Once all the labels have been paired you will go through and complete the special handling (hangers, tagging, folding, etc.). The product will then be scanned and packaged to be shipped out.
You will be the last person who sees the product before it is shipped out, so accuracy is key.
Working hours: 6 AM - 4 PM
Skills that will be beneficial for you to succeed are:
-Attention to detail
-Ability to follow specific directions
-Basic computer skills
-Ability to learn from visuals and verbal instructions.
In order to qualify for the position you must have the following:
-Ability to read/write/speak English
-Ability to stand up to 10 hours per day
-Ability to lift, bend, stoop, kneel, etc.
-Previous experience in warehouse or relatable packing experience.
(This includes, assembly experience, fast food experience, etc.)
-Meet compliance requirements. (Background check and drug screen are conducted and are case by case)
-GREAT Attendance (Must meet attendance policy of only 2 days missed during 90 day training period)
