The Material Handler will perform duties such as receive, unpack, stack, store, handle, locate, issue, deliver, record, identify, mark and preserve all types and sizes of parts, materials, and supplies in any of the plant storerooms or storage areas (Inventory and Process); direct and instruct, as required, stores personnel and other personnel assigned to the storeroom. Assemble and compile kits for Shipping, Quick Serve, and all assembly areas in the plant, inspections, and/or point of use.

?? Manage Kanban bins, storage bins, racks and other storage facilities as required.
?? Maintain files for recording purposes, data collection for all inventory transactions required to be entered in IFS system.
?? Must be able to operate hand and power trucks (stand up and sit down models), ladders, shears, hoist operated cranes and other lifting equipment including forklift vehicles.
?? Perform in any of the plant point of use stores or storage area duties such as receiving, unpacking, stocking, storing, handling, locating, issuing, delivering, weighing, measuring, counting, identifying, marking, recording and preserving all types and sizes of rough, semi-finished or finished parts and assemblies, material supplies, scrap and cuttings.
?? Take physical inventory, and cycle count inventory & reconciliations (posting) as required. Operate metal cut off saw as necessary.
?? Keep records of work orders such as location, quantities, issues, dates, etc., using manual or data collection system.
?? Report when stocks of materials, parts and supplies in use reach order points, answer telephone inquiries, request inspection of parts as required.
?? Use foot rule, steel scale, calipers, gages, micrometers, etc., to determine sizes.
?? Recognize and correct errors such as unsafe pallets, poor preservation, location, identification, count, weight sizes, material and records or cause to have corrected if fault emanated outside of storeroom. Report damaged parts. Adhere to MSDS requirements, etc.
?? Must be able to use brushes, paints, thinners, power cut off machines-saw, and accessories, etc.
Working hours: 7 AM - 4 PM
Education and/or Experience: HS Diploma/GED; Prefer: One year certificate from college or technical school; or a minimum of 12 months' experience. Must be computer proficient.
Language Skills: Basic or above computer skills to include MS Suite (Word, Excel). Ability to read and interpret documents such as sales orders, purchase orders, safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from all levels in the organization. Must be computer proficient.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand and use hands to lift, handle and/or feel. The employee frequently is required to talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
This position works in an industry machining manufacturing area which exposes associates to noise - 0.15, coolants, metal flakes/chips. Safety glasses and safety shoes are required in all manufacturing areas.
