Set up Mechanic
We have an opening for a set up mechanic for a health and wellness organization located on the eastern part of Long Island. This is a great opportunity for candidates looking to take the next step in their technical career. Candidates with certifications from BOCES or Technical Trade schools are encouraged to apply. Training is available for the right candidates!
This is a direct hire opportunity
40 hours a week plus overtime
$18-$22 an hour ( compensation based on experience)
Two professional references required for consideration
Min of 2 years of production or manufacturing maintenance experience
Ability to perform routine maintenance, repair and minor electrical troubleshoot.
Reviews and follows safety procedures for all equipment.
Provide guidance to machine operator staff.
Responsible for the use and replacement of changed parts.
Maintains workplace organization and cleanliness practices.
Complies with company policy, SOP, cGMP and OSHA requirements.
Welding and fabrication experience a plus but not a requirement
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
-High mechanical aptitude
-Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
-Training will be available
High Mechanical Aptitude required
Experience should include familiarity with machinery, belts and gear drives.
Ability to use basic hand tools
Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal procedures or instructions.
Have basic math and mechanical skills.
