Logistics Coordinator / Dispatcher

We are a local and cross-country moving and storage company that has doubled our business in a short amount of time and we are looking to hire TWO Dispatchers/Logistics Coordinators to assist us in developing and maintaining relationships with our moving companies that we work with. This ensures a smooth and transparent local move or cross-country move for our customers that are going to a new home. The people we are looking for may be working or have worked for a trucking company, military transport dispatch and tracking, another moving or storage company, or in a shipping company or department that deals with over-the-road logistics and tracking trucks or shipments from start to finish. We use a software called Dr. Mover so anyone who knows this program would be fantastic for this job but we can also teach you the program. We also know that GRANOT and other logistics tracking or dispatch tracking knowledge is a bonus in this job. The job is managing the moving companies, keeping track of their timelines and processes through the move and ensuring that all documents, load assignments, transportation related issues through a customer's move is on track and on time. Contacting the carriers daily.
Collecting information on locations of carrier???s trucks.
Ensuring that all loads get assigned to a carrier.
Ensuring that carriers are receiving the job acceptance forms.
Ensuring that the carriers are aware of any request made by the customers and that they are listed on the jobs acceptance form.
Ensuring that the carrier signs the job acceptance form.
Ensuring that carriers are aware of all revisions, on-hold and or cancellations.
Ensuring that carriers provides the pick up date 24 hours before the start of the pick up window.
Ensuring that carriers provides the delivery information 24 hours before the start of the delivery window.
Ensuring that the carrier provides our off with the pick up paperwork.
Assisting with making sure the carriers are following the agreement between us and the carrier.
Ensuring that the full customer information is sent out at the start of everyday.
Assessing the carriers and make recommendations to the General Manger on growth opportunities with them.
Assisting customer service with reaching the carriers and closing issues.
Providing a daily update on jobs that remain unassigned to the General manager.
Provide updates to sales on where they can do rate drops.
Maintain a less than 3% service failure rate. Will be calculated from the total number after deducting out other cancelled jobs.
Update the Moving Loads Board
Update Auto (Central) Loads Board
Confirm status of auto with our auto partners.

Working hours: 1:00 PM - 10:00 PM
