Mechanical Assembler

Responsible for fitting and assembling electromechanical equipment and machines, including pipe fittings, pneumatic cylinders, light wiring (pumps and motors), manifolds, enclosures. Must have a positive attitude, high energy level and be mechanically inclined.

This is a temp to perm position
Pay- $15 to 15.50 an hour depending on experience.
Monday- Friday, some overtime may be available 7am - 3:30pm.

Responsibilities:
Assemble parts for electromechanical equipment.
Inspect and test completed units as required.
Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and instructions.
Tag or mark identifying information on parts.
Grease or lubricate parts.
Inspect parts for flaws and imperfections.
Position and fasten units to assemblies and subassemblies.
Fasten cables and wiring.
Test for mechanical reliability.
Measure dimensions/clearance of parts.
Assemble parts or units, and position, align, and fasten units to assemblies, subassemblies, or frames, using hand tools and power tools.
Connect cables, tubes, and wiring, according to specifications.
Position, align, and adjust parts for proper fit and assembly.
Read blueprints and specifications to determine component parts and assembly sequences of electromechanical units.
Inspect, test, and adjust completed units to ensure that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements.

Secondary Responsibilities:
Drill, tap, countersink or ream holes as required.
Adjust and grind down parts if necessary.
Use calipers and micrometers to measure parts and determine tolerances.
Crate and pack machines for shipping

Working hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Skills:
Strong math skills
Basic computer skills
Previous assembly experience in machinery, automation systems
Strong ability to learn new techniques including assembly and secondary operations
Ability to read and analyze engineering prints
Ability to relate to team members well and ability to communicate clearly and concisely
Ability to multitask while being complete in thorough in following documented procedures
Ability to escalate production and downtime issues to get them resolved in a timely fashion
Attitude of openness to change and exhibit a desire to improve every day
Provide own tools and steel toed boots.
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work overtime as directed

Qualifications:
High School Diploma
Basic math skills & measurements
Ability to read blueprints
Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a continual basis
