Your application will enter you for consideration to Seagate's Contract-to-Hire program. This is how Seagate finds great Machine Operators for its permanent positions in Bloomington, MN. The position starts as a temporary role before moving to permanent position based on performance after approximately 3 months.
Your first 2-4 weeks will be focused entirely on your training. You'll learn everything you need to know about how to run Seagate's high tech robotic machinery. Please note, the path to full-time is through the D Shift. You must move to this shift down the road in order to get full-time at Seagate. This could occur as soon as 2-3 months after starting with us.After you get hired on full-time, you become eligible to transfer to a different shift based on seniority.
Once permanent with Seagate, you will receive a pay increase up to $16.68/hr and will receive a competitive benefits package (including 401k, ESPP, Health Insurance, and access to onsite amenities like a gym and basketball court). After a year's worth of service you may qualify for a pay increase of up to $4/hr!

A - Monday-Wednesday (with every other Thursday) 6:30am-6:30pm - $14.50/hr
B - Monday-Wednesday (with every other Thursday) 6:30pm-6:30am - $15/hr
C - Friday-Sunday (with every other Thursday) 6:30am-6:30pm - $15.25/hr
D - Friday-Sunday (with every other Thursday) 6:30pm-6:30am - $15.50/hr
-Following SOPs to construct hard drive disc chips in a clean room environment.
-Operating a variety of automatic or semi-automatic machines used in the hard drive build process.
-Learning different areas of the wafer manufacturing process to support cross training and helping out your teammates.
-Communicating with coworkers, trainers, leads, and supervisors in a fast paced environment.
-Achieving production goals to meet quality, cost, and performance objectives.
Working hours: 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM
-Positive attitude and willingness to learn
-Attention to detail
-Working 12 hour shifts on your feet in a clean room environment
-HS Diploma or GED
-Great work ethic and willingness to learn
-Must consent to a criminal background check
