Electronic Technician III
Philips Healthtech facility in Bothell, is looking for experienced Electronic Technicians. This is a temp to permanent position. You must be able to pass a drug screening and background check to qualify for this position.
- Create engineering prototypes per drawing, sketch or instructions.
- Construct and document fixtures, experiments or prototype systems with engineering supervision.
- Perform engineering tests and make observations and make recommendations to engineers. (DOE)
- Support Product Research Center (PRC) and clinical studies.
- Collect, organize and/or analyze experimental data. Write technical reports.
- Maintain lab equipment and prototype component inventory.
- This is a contract technician position
Level of Contribution & Ownership of Processes:
Uses professional concepts and company policies and procedures to solve routine problems as a member of an engineering team. Carries out instructions furnished in written, verbal or diagram form. Understands elements of required processes and how to apply them. Can suggest and drive improvements.
Moderate impact, where failure to achieve results necessitates added expenses and resources to complete projects.
Works on and develops solutions to problems of limited scope. Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained. Identifies problems, generates alternatives and recommends solutions within defined processes. Engineers review proposed solutions. Implements solutions with some guidance.
Electrical and mechanical assembly and test of engineering prototypes. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and make technical contribution on methods.
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Receives general instructions on routine tasks, detailed instructions on new assignments. R&D engineers or management sometimes reviews implementations and solutions. Often must work with limited supervision: exercising good judgment, accuracy and attention to detail.
Planning and Goal Setting:
Executes work plans developed by supervisor, usually contributing to multiple projects at any given time. May plan own task-level goals. Shows willingness and initiative to take on additional responsibilities. Completes tasks as assigned.
Interactions and Influence:
Works primarily with manager and/or team leader and other team members. May have contact with other engineering groups on regular basis. May represent manager or work group members in project meetings.
Technical Know How:
Basic knowledge and experience with technical requirements associated with areas of work. Applies basic technology principles, theories and concepts to specific tasks.
Teamwork & Leadership:
Works effectively in team environment by collaborating to produce results. May lead small projects as assigned.
Verbal and Written Communication:
Effectively communicates thoughts and ideas to others both verbally and in written form. Effectively presents information and responds to questions from team members, team leaders and engineering management. Follows technical documentation requirements.
4. Job Requirements:
Minimum Education and Experience:
2-Year technical degree + 5 years experience
Good mechanical aptitude and mathematical skills. Strong understanding of fundamental engineering and physical principles. Demonstrated initiative in identifying and resolving problems.
You must be able to pass a criminal background and drug screen to qualify for this position.
