Injection Molding Tool & Die Repair

This is a Direct Placement with the company
Capable of direct engineering changes, replacement parts, gauges and special tooling.
Plans jobs and coordinates with tool room for consumption of materials as needed
Assists in set-up and operation as needed.
Completes safety inspections on tools prior to sending to production.
Installs tool sensors when applicable.
Assist in the development and the maintenance of tooling.
Develops, proposes and implements tooling and equipment improvements to foster an environment of continuous improvement on the shop floor
Utilize calipers, micrometers, gauge pins and blocks, various other types of measurement equipment.
Fits and assembles jigs, fixtures, tools and dies. Sets up, runs off and tests die to produce a product to specifications, tracing die difficulties to their source and correcting same
Tear down, repairs and reassembles tooling on the bench or in the press as required
Assist???s leaders with troubleshooting tooling during production runs
High degree of precision and control in work where damage could be high and where muscular control and delicate touch are required
High degree of attention and care required, preventing injury to self and others when operating machine tools.
Possess good troubleshooting skills
Working hours: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM
Completion of formal apprenticeship program with journeyman card or equivalent to 4 years experience
Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Excellent problem-solving skills such as 8D and 5 Whys
Excellent communication skills as evidenced by colleague relations, team skills, and have the ability to interface directly with the customer to resolve issues
Ability to work independently, self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent attendance record
While performing the duties of this job, the colleague is regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, product, or equipment. The colleague is regularly required to talk and hear. The colleague is frequently required to reach with hands and arms in repairing fixing, welding, or conducting an inspection. The colleague must regularly lift and/or move up to 25pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.
Must be able to show proof of high school diploma or GED
Must be willing to submit to drug and background screening
