Hub assemblers position components and operate semi-automated machinery to support end-stage assembly of products. Operator-machine interactions include push buttons, touchscreen displays, barcode scanners, and computer stations. Assistance with tooling setup and minor adjustments to equipment are necessary during product changeover. Operators must maintain quality standards and production rates safely and consistently.
Monitors condition of parts and equipment before and during use.
Prepares components at individual stations.
Operates assembly machines including presses, drivers, and inspection stations.
Lifts assembly components and lowers finished product onto pallets.
Uses small hand tools to change out tooling and make minor adjustments to fixtures during changeover.
Accurately records production at end of shift.
Promptly reports machine-rejected and non-conforming parts.
Troubleshoots rejected assemblies, substituting components and machine fixtures to identify problem.
Maintains cleanliness of equipment and work area.
Other duties as assigned.
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Ability to follow written work instructions.
Ability to follow verbal directions from supervisor, management, and all policies and procedures implemented by organization
Attention to detail and quality in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Must be able to verify presence/absence of parts at each stage of process.
Ability to troubleshoot machines and products by systematically switching out components.
Basic computer skills.
Basic math skills (decimals, min/max values).
Forklift license beneficial but not required.
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Occupational noise exposure during performance of required duties. Adequate hearing protection is provided and required at all times.
Occupational exposure to fumes and dust is regularly encountered. Personal Protective Equipment including safety glasses and steel-toed, industrial footwear is required at all times.
