Randstad has openings with a west Knoxville manufacturing for furnace operators. Candidate will be responsible for loading raw materials onto machines that will load them into a furnace for finishing. Employees will be responsible for recording data from the furnace hourly to make sure that quality specs are being met. Once the finished product is removed from the furnace, candidates will be responsible for measuring, weighing and packaging the finished product. Qualified candidates will have attention to detail and be open and responsive to training. Our client is looking to add to their permanent staff and will offer a shift differential once hired on. This position has the potential to top out at $19/hour. This position will require candidates to work weekends, but will offer 2 days off in a row every week.
To be considered, Candidate must have 5 years of machine operator experience or certificate in Industrial maintenance or machinery.
-Loading and unloading materials onto machine that will load furnace
-Hourly quality checks of furnace and data entry
-Final inspection including using gauges and scales
-Packaging of finished product.
Working hours: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
-6 months of Manufacturing
-2 positive references
-Ability to Stand/ Stoop/ Bend for up to 8 hours
-Basic Math Skills
-Previous experience with measuring devices
