General repairs and troubleshooting as required for winery, harvest intake and bottling equipment
Installation of new/used equipment and related utilities as required
Refrigeration troubleshooting, operation, and repairs
Support in installation of capital projects
Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, boom lifts, backhoe, etc.
Moderate electrical installation/repair of low voltage, control and PLC programming
Bottling line set up, adjustment, and operation as required
Understands and complies with all safety regulations and procedures; assists in ensuring that the facility and equipment are safe for employees and visitors
Repairs and performs preventive maintenance on winemaking equipment including presses, pumps, filters, tanks, bottling line, etc.
Maintains accurate maintenance records outlining service and repair history on all equipment
Purchase of equipment parts by completing the required paperwork utilizing the internal maintenance management software
Miscellaneous job functions (10%)
Department and winery clean-up
Drag, lift, carry and use water hoses to clean floors
Operate company vehicle as needed for pick-up and delivery of parts and/or supplies
Document maintenance operations on work orders, CMMS, etc.
On-call status for emergencies
May be required to work night shift during harvest
May require overtime to support of extended shifts at times
Understanding on PLC???s and controls
Working hours: 5:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Required to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Must follow all safety standards and procedures
Ability to climb stairs and ladders as needed, ability to sit and stand for long periods of time, bending and lifting movements, manual dexterity, ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Will be required to work in all weather conditions, indoor and outdoor
Must possess knowledge and understanding of general mechanics, repair and operation of winery and bottling equipment.
Ability to understand and repair building HVAC equipment and systems is a plus
Must be able to follow directions
General computer skills are required, including email and basic data entry
Familiarity with CMMS software is a plus
Must be able to communicate effectively with coworkers and all employees at the organization
May be required to work night shift during harvest season, approximately 8 weeks per year. May require occasional overtime as needed, and may require on-call status for maintenance emergencies
Must be team oriented and have a positive attitude
Education ??? High school diploma or equivalent
Prior Experience ??? 2 ??? 5 years of experience in winery and experience in bottling maintenance is preferred
Valid CA Driver???s License is required
Experience in operation of heavy equipment such as forklifts, boom lifts, etc.
