Under limited supervision, performs visual, mechanical, functional, dimensional or electrical inspection of a variety of products in the production assembly process through final system assembly.
Follows established procedures and guidelines to check, test, and inspect raw materials, subassemblies and finished goods for functionality, damages and/or missing parts.
Tests products for structural defects such as leaks or internal cracks.
Reads and interprets drawings and specifications to verify dimensions of parts or material.
Ensures that products conform to established requirements by evaluating engineering drawings, specifications and related documents.
Determines product or material acceptability and recommends re-work and/or the disposal of defective items in accordance with established procedures. Participates in the corrective and preventive action processes as needed.
Collaborates with other departments such to resolve quality problems on the production floor. Identifies and assists with process improvement measures.
Completes and maintains quality documentation and problem resolution logs.
Maintains a safe and organized workstation and follows all company policy, safety and procedures.
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
High school diploma of GED and two years of quality or inspection experience and working knowledge of inspection techniques and instruments, specification interpretation and quality control terminology.
Ability to read blueprints and accurately document inspection results
Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and manage time effectively
Good oral and written communication skills
Working knowledge of a variety of measurement equipment
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Ability to read, update, and maintain various records and files
Has basic skills in operational processes. Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines. Works with close supervision.
