The production supervisor position is responsible for supervising shop employees in a manufacturing and assembly environment. This position plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.
*Oversee production and staffing schedule
*Create an effective working relationship with team members and address performance/behavioral issue timely
*Provide employee coaching and development and cross training for team members
*Balance quality, productivity, cost, scrap, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas and work to continuously improve process to become efficient
*Manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provides regular progress reports to manager
*Manage department priorities and use processes to accurately deal with quality and machine issues
*Track absenteeism and timekeeping
Working hours: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
*Ability to work with people to create a team environment.
*Ability to exercise good judgment when making quick decisions.
*Adequate oral and written communication skills.
*Good computer skills- MS Office and Excel
*ADP experience a plus
*High school graduate or equivalent.
*5+ years of Supervisor experience. Preferably in automotive.
