Warehouse Person - Driver
Do you hold a Class A CDL and enjoy driving but want to be home every evening? If so, Randstad has the job for you! We are currently seeking candidates for the position of Warehouse Worker/Driver. This is a Direct Hire position. The position includes vacation, medical, dental and vision benefits as well as 401k. The hours are 8am-5pm, M-F. Candidates will work in a warehouse receiving product, unloading/loading trucks using a forklift, building pallets and other various warehouse duties. When the position requires driving, the selected candidate will be delivering product to facilities within a 50 mile radius of the warehouse. The position will comprise approximately 85% warehouse work and 15% driving.
??? Ensures accurate and timely receipt and shipping of all materials following FIFO and potential freight claim and/or back order procedures, while supporting all freight and safety policies.
??? Receives and unloads inbound material; processes inbound shipments, stocks material, processes customer returns and notifies management of damaged shipments.
??? Performs a variety of warehouse duties such as pull/assemble customer orders, check outbound orders for accuracy/completeness, inventory stock checks, restock and label vendor product, move, store and replenish material, and conduct daily cycle counts, as required.
??? Picks, packs and ships material in a manner that professionally represents Composites One and suppliers.
??? Understands and complies with applicable DOT, EPA, OSHA and specific HS&E requirements, including the Driver and Warehouse Manuals. Actively participates in and supports C1 Safety Culture.
??? As needed, accurately and professionally transports and delivers hazardous and non-hazardous materials in a safe, timely and compliant manner.
- Runs routes in an efficient manner with focus on customer needs; manages fuel and out of route miles in a fiscally responsible manner.
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- Current Class A CDL drivers license with the following endorsements: general knowledge, air brakes, combination vehicle and hazardous material. Prior forklift experience strongly preferred.
-Must be 25 years of age or older. Requires a minimum of 3 years related experience in the operation of tractor/trailer equipment, preferably with transporting hazardous materials; in addition to 2-3 years experience in a warehouse environment, including experience with order picking, shipping, receiving, inventory counts, pick/pack; knowledge and understanding of FIFO, OSHA requirements, safety awareness and hazardous material shipping.
-While performing the duties of this job, employee is frequently exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, and occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. Moderate to heavy physical activity; regularly required to stand, use hands and reach with hands and arms; required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; may be required to sometimes sit, climb or balance. The associate must lift and/or move up to 75 lbs. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures. The noise level is moderate to loud. -Forklift, manual and electric pallet jack, drum dolly, floor scrubber, slitter and other warehouse equipment; limited use of PC and/or laptop, copy/fax/scan machine, telephone and other general office equipment.
