Ensure that trailers are moved in a timely manner and put to the docks for loading or unloading. Keep the trailers on the yard in an orderly manner. Operates a gas or electric forklift in and between departments, buildings and grounds. Collects and delivers a wide variety of materials while adhering to safety procedures. Delivers materials to work areas as directed, stacks materials in storage areas and loads/unloads trailers for inbound or outbound goods. Forklift certification required.
??? Complete the driver???s daily vehicle inspection report.
??? Abide by all applicable safety rules.
??? Notify supervisor immediately of any damage to trailers.
??? Checking oil, fuel, water, lights, and tires of each vehicle driven daily.
??? Ensure loads are pulled to the unloading/loading docks as needed
??? Assist in miscellaneous warehouse and shipping duties as required.
??? Assist in stacking goods and materials as needed.
??? Convey a positive image when meet vendors, customers and the public.
??? Must adhere to GMPs and Safety Procedures as set forth by rules and regulations.
??? Possessing a current CDL Class A License is a plus.
??? Operate gas or electric forklift in and between departments, buildings and grounds.
??? Load and unload trucks with incoming and outgoing materials.
??? Check incoming materials for shortages or damaged materials.
??? Operate palletizer equipment and use computer systems for production and loading.
??? Attend communication meetings as required.
??? Pull pallets and place them accordingly to be able to walk around them and check for any damage.
??? Ensure pallets and products are reviewed for damage; change if damaged.
??? Pull product and load trucks as needed.
??? Ensure work area is clean and organized before leaving premises.
??? Follow First In First Out (FIFO) policies and procedures and ensure product is stacked accordingly.
??? All paperwork must be in order and accurate (ex: shipping documents, receipts, transfers, holds, etc.).
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Inventory software and Manufacturing software.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Forklift Truck Certification required.
Current, valid Driver License, CDL Class A preferred.
