Warehouse Manager

We're looking for a talented Warehouse Manager in Oakland CA

Salary: 70,000 - 80,000 depending on experience

Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsible for keeping the warehouse daily Shipping Schedule for orders
Supervises the receiving department, ensuring correct item and count. Alerting inbound staff and Warehouse Operations Manager of all discrepancies.
Supervises the warehouse put away stock by the forklift operators
Issues daily pick tickets to the order pickers in accordance with the priorities dictated by the Shipping Schedule
Insures all pallet labels are affixed in accordance with customer requirements prior to shipment
Directs and conducts effective checking of all orders as picked for item, lot, description and quantity prior to shipment
Directs the loading of all outgoing shipments for customers
Maintains and orders essential supplies for warehouse operations
Observes compliance and enforces the essential safety functions for all operations in the warehouse
Supervises warehouse staff including employees and temporary workers
Other duties as assigned

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Essential Functions:
Constantly moves about warehouse to move product in either receiving, picking, or shipping activities
Occasionally operates machinery (order picker, forklift, pallet jack) to transport product in warehouse and out of and in to trucks
Occasionally use hand truck to transport product in warehouse and out of and in to trucks
Ability to push/pull, lift, drag/slide and carry 50 pounds on an occasional basis
Regularly reads order documents and deciphers orders
Able to handle varying levels of stress and/or work volume
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Communicates verbally & written with subordinates, vendors, other departments, and US Customs



Job Qualifications:
High school diploma
College level courses in operations is a plus
5 years supervisory experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment
Detailed oriented with excellent follow-through skills
Basic warehouse equipment: forklift, electric pallet jack, order picker
Basic office-related skills to include word processing, spreadsheet maintenance, enterprise software applications and electronic mail (MS Office Work, Excel, Outlook, and ERP)
Desired knowledge of customs cargo documents
Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
