Food Production Supervisor
Food production company is now currently hiring for a Production Supervisor to supervise and coordinate activities of production workers by performing the following duties:
The company is in Hayward
this is a graveyard position and the pay very in experience 55k to 65k
Hours - 9pm to 6:30am
Meet production schedule.
Ensure products are in compliance with all applicable specifications
Maintain set standards of productivity (i.e., cases/person per hour)
Minimize waste of raw and finished products.
Identify sources of downtime.
Identify ways to reduce cost of product.
Open manufacturing plant
Oversee coordinate pre-production work
Turn on major equipment (i.e., freezers, PT machines, boiler, etc.)
Test operation of equipment
Check safety systems
Plant safety walk-through
Closed manufacturing plant, including overseeing clean-up and shut-down
Monitor and ensure sufficient raw material inventory; replenish inventory
Monitor and ensure sufficient supplies for production area (i.e., detergents, smocks, etc.)
Monitor production output and ensure compliance with production schedule
Working hours: 9:00 PM - 6:00 AM
Understand basic theory of how all production machines operate and the ability to troubleshoot minor mechanical problems. Know capabilities and limitations of machines.
Ability to operate the machines and make minor changes.
Knowledge of product weight, specifications, and temperature requirements.
Knowledge of requirements to set up for a product, from ordering to supplies to the preparation timeline. (Exact knowledge is not required, if the manager knows where to find the exact knowledge.)
Knowledge of ingredients and the procedures for the product. (Ingredient knowledge can be accessed through R&D or from computer files. Must know the basic procedures on the day of production.)
Work with the Production Manager to evaluate the production employees

Must have at least 2 years of management experience
Food production experience is a must
Bilingual in Spanish preferred
