Food manufacturing company in Benicia, CA is seeking a Production Manager with industry experience to join their team!
Location: Benicia, CA
Position: Production Manager
-Manage and oversee 200+ employees and provide direction, leadership and management to the production and sanitation teams
-Manage and supervisor plant department management. This includes hiring and training of direct reports, coaching and guidance, conducting personnel evaluations
-Analyze and recommend long term plans for improvement and capacity, assess and recommend equipment improvement and replacements. Plan with members of executive management team to maximize profits and return on investments to fulfill customer demands while managing overall labor costs
-Responsible for controlling plant operation and costs and budgeting
-Ensure high performance in efficiency, accuracy, and quality in all plant departments
-Create and develop documentation of all plant operating procedures and policies
-Promote a safe and healthy work environment, monitor and keep the company in compliance with local, state and federal regulations
Working hours: 5:00 AM - 11:00 PM
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Highly organized, committed to follow through
-Highly enthusiastic and self motivated
-Ability to effectively collaborate in a dynamic environment
-Bachelor's Degree and/or related plant management experience
-Minimum of 5 years experience in an operations supervisory or management role in a food manufacturing environment with demonstrated leadership skills
-Six Sigma, Lean, and/or Kaizen experience preferred
-Food regulations experience with USDA, handling of raw materials experience
-Experience working for a facility overseeing 200+ employees
-Must be comfortable working in cold environments
