Optimize on-time delivery at the lowest operating cost.
Analyze available equipment, drivers and loads.
Arrange pickup and delivery details and manage the route stop order for loading and unloading trucks.
Advise Harbor coordinator on detentions, loading and un-loading, re-consignments, over-weights and OS&D, to resolve customer challenges.
Ensure customer service excellence, profitability and safety in the delivery of loads on a companywide basis.
Hold drivers accountable for on-time and safety for all deliveries.
Resolve any driver's issues or concerns escalated to the planner and, as appropriate, make recommendations and referrals to other management to resolve the issue or concern.
Share responsibility for any appropriate follow-up or escalation to management to see that the driver's issues/concerns are addressed.
Recommend specific disciplinary action for performance or disciplinary problems to the terminal management.
Train and develop new or existing talent as required by management.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Microsoft Office Suite - Excel, Word, Outlook.
Knowledge using Trinium
Excellent communication skills; written and verbal.
Flexible - able to work in fast-paced environment.
Logistics and strategy.
Geography, mapping and routing skills.
Ability to work flexible shifts if necessary.
